  • Manchester United long term target Jadon Sancho’s Nigerian agent, Emeka Obasi has broke silence and revealed that he is hopeful that the Red Devils will strike a deal with Borussia Dortmund for his client.

Understandably, the German Bundesliga outfit wants the future of Sancho to be sorted out before the start of their pre-season training camp on August 10 and is demanding 120 million Euros from the English Premier League (EPL) giants.

Reportedly, the player’s agent Obasi has recently been busy doing other deals notably Bukayo Saka’s new deal at Arsenal, but he is still hopeful that United will be able to agree on a fee with Borussia Dortmund.

Obasi handles the affairs of several players who have committed their international futures to the Super Eagles over the Three Lions, including Ola Aina, Alex Iwobi, Joe Aribo, Josh Maja, and Chuba Akpom.

Other Nigeria-eligible clients include Sheyi Ojo, Fred Onyedinma, Tobi Omole, Andrew Omobamidele, Emmanuel Sonupe, Tobi Omole, and Golden Eaglets invitee Malcolm Ebiowei.

Reportedly, Sancho will become United player by the end of the week, with Ed Woodward currently rubber-stamping the final details with Dortmund, ending over a year of transfer speculation in the process.

The 20-year-old English man is said to be excited about his potential five-year contract move and joining Solskjaer’s star-studded attack. United legend Phil Neville believes the club is right to be prioritizing Sancho over Aston Villa playmaker Jack Grealish.

“People are talking about Grealish, but now with [Bruno] Fernandes in there, do we need another number 10?” Neville asked.

“I think the right-hand-side is the biggest area where we need to improve. An out-and-out winger.

“I think the right-hand-side is the one big hole in the squad.

“United haven’t really had anyone since Antonio Valencia, really,” Neville added.

Meanwhile, former Nigeria international Odion Ighalo has been pictured training with Manchester United ahead of their Europa League meeting with Austrian opponents LASK on Wednesday, August 5.
